How is Flarekit different from AnnounceKit?

Same use cases, fairer pricing. The features they paywall on the $299 Scale plan — custom domain, segmentation, multilingual — we put on Pro ($19) or Business ($49). The widget is also smaller (12 KB vs 80+ KB) because we ship vanilla TypeScript with Shadow DOM instead of bundled React.

Will the widget conflict with my CSS or framework?

No. The widget mounts inside a closed Shadow DOM, so your styles can't leak in and our styles can't leak out. It runs in any modern browser, works with strict CSP (no unsafe-inline), and adds < 100ms to your TBT on real devices.

Do I need to identify my users?

No. Anonymous mode works out of the box using a localStorage UUID. Identify users when you want to: enable segmentation, persist unread state across devices, or send them targeted emails.

Can I bring my own domain?

Yes — on the Pro plan and above. Point a CNAME at us, we provision SSL via Cloudflare for SaaS automatically. Your public changelog lives at changelog.yourcompany.com.

What about GDPR?

Flarekit is GDPR-ready: no cookies for anonymous users (only localStorage), DPA available on Business plans, EU-region data residency on request, and built-in export/erase endpoints for end-user data.

Can I migrate from AnnounceKit or Headway?

Yes. Export your posts as JSON or RSS — we import categories, posts, translations and subscribers. Most migrations finish in under an hour. Drop us a line and we'll help.
